Our Mission

Magic Pen Publishing, Inc.

Magic Pen  is  a not-for-profit organization, under Section 501 ( c) ( 3 ) of the Internal Revenue Service Code,  which will use the proceeds from the sell of books and other merchandise  for the following purposes: 1) to provide awards, and financial incentives, to promote, and encourage children and juveniles to read and engage in creative writing; 2) to help promote the human rights, and independence of people with disabilities; 3) to promote intergenerational programs to enhance first hand learning from senior citizens, and the aging; and, 4) to promote, environmental, social, and other  projects which improve life for all.

Specifically, proceeds, income, or revenue, from sells of books, publishing, merchandise, and other products, shall be use to make awards to programs and individuals meeting the above priorities, guidelines and criterion set by the governing body.

The general goal of this entity, through written and authored materials, is to encourage tolerance, diversity, preservation of the environment, respect for the rights of all people. To respect and assist aging individuals and individuals with disabilities, and to advance and promote inclusion, independence, of the human rights of all people.

Magic Pen

Creative writing is an art: a form of art rarely developed in grade schools or high schools. As the name suggests authors write as if they possess "Magic Pens". A magic pen is like having an instrument full of words, and imaginative ideas, which flow from the author to the pen, and finally to the paper (or computer screen). As part of our mission , one of our objectives is to encourage young people to read and to do creative writing; to develop their "Magic Pen” skills. Creative writing is not just a form of expression, but a rewarding life long skill with a myriad of applications and rewards.

As time goes on, we hope to display writing by young authors, and authors who are young at heart. The content of the site will expand its audience for children, from toddlers to adolescents, or young adults. It will become a place to exchange ideas, suggest books for reading, and make available community resources for those who want to make writing books a career. We hope to reward those who write well in the course of attending school and finishing assignments. Along with this come social responsibility, and a sense of commitment to higher ideals, and values. Melissa and the Magic Pen is the first effort by a daughter and father team. The proceeds from the sale of this book will help support this organization's goals
